                          South Sea Pearls

Known to be the rarest of all cultured pearls, the south sea pearls of Polynesia are the most beautiful, colorful, and valuable. With colors ranging from blue-green, to silver-pink, peacock green, and almost every color in between, the pearls of the Pinctada Margaritifera or black-lipped oyster require from 2-4 years to form. These oysters produce the exotic black pearl.

Have a look at the wide spectrum of colors and shapes of the black pearl on the pearl color chart.
